Tech Operations Intern

As a Summer 2024 intern at WSFS Bank in the Operations & Applications Department, I gained valuable experience in operations management and process improvement. Working with a team of interns, we collaborated with Deposit Services, BankCard Services, Item Processing, Application Data Services, Electronic Banking, and Operational Governance teams to understand their job functions and responsibilities. After conducting initial team interviews and gathering information, we created and iteratively updated their team intranet web pages with content and Infographics using the Akumina Software Platform within WSFS Company SharePoint. My classroom knowledge from Webpage Development and User Experience Design was crucial in ensuring these pages were user-friendly and effective.

In addition to webpage development, I focused on mapping business processes, developed training modules on internal bank software, and created new employee onboarding modules to ensure a smooth transition for new associates. I also trained teams on how to update and maintain their own pages, ensuring long-term sustainability. This experience sharpened my project management skills and taught me how to communicate effectively across multiple teams, directly relating to my major and enhancing my abilities in Bank Operations and business communication.
