For the Spring 2019 semester, I participated in the AIS Mentorship Program. I was able to gain valuable knowledge about current and future MIS courses. In addition, I learned to be prioritize getting points as soon as possible because I would be unable to take register for classes without them. My mentor also talked to me about his HR Data Specialist internship at Morgan, Lewis, & Bockius LLP. He told me about his daily tasks and the difficulty surrounding the internship as well. It was great because I was able to hear the good and the bad rather than just the good provided elsewhere. He also explained to me what I should do for my analytics competition. More specifically, he told me to meet my teammates regularly and carve out a lot of time from my schedule to work on the project. Overall, the program was extremely valuable because I learned about what my future career and courses will look like.
