Courses Fall 2020
- MIS 3506: User Experience – User Experience course is mainly about designing websites in a way that it is user friendly and as expected by users. I am learning about different techniques and rules to follow in order to create and design a website. Enhancing my web design skills and learning more techniques will help me for any future web design career.
- MIS 3406: Cloud Architecture – This course is about managing cloud based desktop and how to secure them. Although this is my current course, so far, I have learned how to create a virtual desktop using the AWS website. I believe these skills are extremely important for when I get into the field myself.
Courses Spring 2020
- MIS 2502: Data Analytic- This course taught me how to use different approaches to the data mining and analysis to solve a company’s data problems as an MIS professional. Some of the programs I learned was; NoSQL, RStudio, SQL, and some Excel techniques. I have interest in getting to data analytics field, these programs made me ready to solve any data analytics problems in my future career.
- MIS 2402: Data Centric Application Development – Throughout this course, I learned more about coding and the three main languages of web designing; HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. We used Visual Studio text editor to perform all the coding tasks. This course is a fundamental course towards future coding courses. Having coding skills will help me prepared for any Coding career I land on.
Courses Fall 2019
- MIS 2101: Information Systems In Organizations – This course was an introduction to the management information systems workplace. Through this course, I learned some basic stuff about coding and how we can approach a problem as an IT. I also got to know about some software and one of them is Salesforce, this software is used by companies for their management purposes. This course gave me basic knowledge to navigate myself better in future MIS classes.
