AIS Mentorship Program
2020: Fall Semester – Mentor to Zeshan Khalid
Mentoring for Zeshan Khalid, who is a senior MIS major at Fox School of Business, has been a great experience for me. Although we still were going through unprecedented times (COVID-19 Pandemic) and all the meetings were virtually conducted via zoom, we still managed to have a great experience with lots of success throughout the semester. Zeshan is a nice person and outgoing who is also eager to learn new stuff about his major and technology in general. When we first met virtually, we picked a goal for him to boost his pro points by end of the semester. I showed him different ways of earning pro points. By end of the semester, he had 700+ pro points. Additionally, we also worked on his resume and other MIS related stuff. The outcome of our session was great and this is one of the reasons I joined AIS as mentor, to help people succeed academically.
2020: Spring semester – Mentor to Ronak Patil
During my second semester at Temple University, I was grateful to become mentor for Ronak Patil in AIS mentorship program. I have always wanted to find a way to guide students who went to same experiences. Ronak is a junior with MIS major at fox school of business. I helped him to know how and where to apply for different scholarships as well as Internships. We both were juniors and we had two same MIS classes. Although half of the spring semester went virtual due to COVID-19 pandemic, Ronak and I continued meeting up via zoom to make sure he is picking up right classes as well as he’s on track for his pro points.
2019: Fall semester – Mentee to Rana Ismaeil
AIS mentorship program is one of the best programs for new MIS students at fox. As a transfer student and a junior at Temple University, AIS mentorship program has been great experience for me. Rana is a great leader and knowledgeable mentor. She is respectful, kind, intelligent, hard-working & outgoing. I am grateful to have her as my mentor. From day one, she set goals and made sure I am on right track for my pro points. She went over my resume, showed me different sources find internships, and introduced me to couple MIS faculty members. I am honored for her friendship and help. I have gained so much information during my first semester at Temple University.
