Electronic Technician
During my work experience at Mobile Net, a retail and service-based business specializing in mobile devices and technical support in Philadelphia, PA, I worked in a customer-facing and technical support role assisting with daily operations. Mobile Net provides services including device sales, repairs, and troubleshooting, and I contributed to both the business and technical sides of the organization.
In my role, I assisted customers with selecting mobile devices and accessories based on their needs, while also providing technical support for common hardware and software issues. I was responsible for troubleshooting device problems, setting up new phones, transferring data, and supporting basic repairs such as diagnosing damaged components and performing system resets. Additionally, I maintained accurate records of transactions, repairs, and inventory, ensuring efficient and organized store operations.
I also contributed to improving customer experience by clearly communicating technical information in an accessible way and resolving issues efficiently. Through hands-on experience, I developed strong problem-solving, communication, and customer relationship management skills while working in a fast-paced environment.
This experience strengthened my technical foundation and directly relates to my major in Management Information Systems, as I applied concepts related to information systems, data handling, and troubleshooting in real-world scenarios. It also deepened my interest in cybersecurity and cloud technologies by exposing me to device security, data protection, and system functionality in a practical setting.
