IT Volunteer at Mobile Net
I volunteered at Mobile Net, a local electronics repair business located in Philadelphia, where I assisted with diagnosing and repairing smartphones, tablets, and computers. The organization was operated by experienced technicians who sponsored and supervised my hands-on training in device troubleshooting and hardware repair. In my role, I helped disassemble devices, replace damaged components such as screens and batteries, and test systems to ensure proper functionality. I also observed and assisted with software-related issues, including operating system resets and data transfers. Through this experience, I developed a stronger understanding of device architecture, problem-solving, and technical precision. I learned how to communicate technical information clearly to customers and gained confidence working with hardware in real-world situations. Overall, this volunteer experience strengthened my interest in IT and hardware by giving me practical exposure to how technology functions at a foundational level.
