Technology Risk Consulting Intern
During my internship with RSM US LLP in the Technology Risk Consulting (TRC) practice in Philadelphia, I supported teams in evaluating technology risks and internal controls for clients across multiple engagements. My responsibilities included assisting with IT control design and documentation, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying control deficiencies and potential risks, and supporting SOX and SOC engagements. Throughout the internship, I worked with engagement teams to review client processes and supporting evidence, document testing procedures and results, and communicate findings while meeting project deadlines. The experience directly related to my Management Information Systems major by allowing me to apply concepts involving information systems, business processes, risk management, data analysis, and technology controls in a professional environment. I also developed a stronger understanding of how organizations use technology controls to protect information, support reliable business operations, and manage risk.
