The cybercrime link from those behind the door (incarcerated) to those in the free world

In Spring 2024, I attended the live webinar event called “The cybercrime link from those behind the door (incarcerated) to those in the free world.” The event featured Dr. Tessa Cole, who spoke about her background in criminology and her occupation. The topics of the webinar consisted of different cybercrimes (cyber-dependent and cyber-enabled) along with cybercriminals (those who use aliases to avoid detection). Dr. Cole spoke about potential institutional problems relating to cybersecurity crimes including governmental, U.S. financial regulatory agencies, and technological sectors. In terms of governmental issues, it includes the federal vs. state criminal variations in definitions. In terms of financial regulatory agencies, it includes certain financial regulation agreements with individuals/businesses. In terms of technological, it includes certain online financial service transactions.
