Discovery Intern Tax
In this internship at Deloitte, I was fortunate to meet and work with students from other universities, in person and virtually. I got to learn some great leadership skills from my mentors, and I was able to learn from tax professionals. As far as client project support, I provided research and documentation support to senior tax consultants on a project for IBM which is a Fortune 500 technology company. I was able to utilize excel for data analysis and tax software for research which was my contribution in my teams successful completion of the project. Actively participated in national and local learning events at Deloitte, including attending lunch and industry spotlights. Developed relationships with mentors, including a counselor and onboarding advisor, to receive guidance and feedback and participated in social activities to network with Deloitte professionals and build a cross-functional professional network. Lastly, I was able to demonstrate leadership potential by adapting to change, collaborating effectively in team settings, and utilizing strong communication skills and contributed creatively and confidently to problem-solving and achieving team objectives.
