SAP Security Intern

At Day and Zimmerman I worked as a full time SAP security Intern through the entire summer and then part time till September 28th. Through this internship I learned how to work with many systems and programs including SAP, HANA, ACL, AD Manager, and WinShuttle. I learned a lot through working with SAP where I worked on setting up user accounts for employees all across the country using su01 and also creating roles in pfcg for an internal project where our team was completely redesigning the security roles that would be assigned to user accounts for the entire company. This relates very highly to my major it prepared me for my current class MIS 3406 where are curriculum involved learning to set up accounts in active directory which was a large part of my internship, so I went into my classes already having experience with the skills I was learning in that class. It also prepared me for the future with the great experience it gave me in SAP. Where experience can be very sought after due to how intricate SAP is and how commonly it is used in large companies.

I was then called by Day & Zimmerman asking to return in the Spring of my Senior year, In this time I continued with many of the things I was previously doing, however I also vastly grew my knowledge of SAP by using transactions such as se16 to access tables of user account data for internal audits to creating roles from scratch and transporting them from development, to QA testing and finally into a production system with the use of su24. Also during this time When the new intern for the summer came I was put in charge of training her and teaching her all the things I learned the previous summer. This job has heavily increased my knowledge and interest in working with SAP.
