Digital Assurance & Transparency (DAT) Intern
During this internship experience, I supported the Digital Assurance and Transparency (DAT) team at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Philadelphia office, a leading multinational “Big Four” public accounting firm. As a DAT intern, I gained hands-on experience with technology applications that support business functions, particularly within the financial services industry. My work focused on reviewing user access management controls. I was responsible for analyzing and testing over 100 samples of IT General Controls and IT Dependencies to assess compliance. This involved analyzing system controls, reviewing SQL scripts, and documenting findings in audit work papers using the firm’s Excel–based audit technology platform. Through daily collaboration and coordination with my team, I developed strong communication skills and a deep appreciation for accurate data analysis and information systems in the audit process.
