I completed a LinkedIn Learning course called “Foundations of Learning LMS.” This course delved into the functionalities and benefits of a Learning Management System (LMS), which serves as a tool in education and corporate training environments. Led by Oliver Schinkten, the course explored how teachers can educate students, administrators can manage assignments and grading, and users can access content and resources anytime and anywhere. The course highlighted how an LMS can enhance communication, track progress, and reduce costs. For those considering an LMS for their company or school, the course provided valuable guidance on choosing an LMS system based on specific learning needs, distinguishing between the requirements of corporate and academic learners. Completing this course has been instrumental in my MIS career, bolstering my skills in selecting and managing technologies that support effective learning and training processes.
