Financial Committee Chair
As the Financial Committee Chair of Ascend (Spring Semester), my responsibilities are the following:
– Maintain monthly cash flow and ensure bank balances for the organization are up to date using descriptions of transactions and receipts.
– Lead fundraising events to increase revenue for Ascend that can be used towards professional, social, and community service initiatives.
– Spearhead relationships and sponsorships from 10+ accounting firm recruiters for a premier nonprofit organization’s yearly budget.
This experience has greatly impacted my skills and time management as I have my responsibilities I must attend to, while also giving me a lot of hands-on experience with finance.
