Capstone Project
For our capstone project, my team created an app called Booklit. Booklit is an educational application that is aimed towards improving reading levels for young kids. Using the app, kids will be able to track their reading, take quizzes on those readings, accumulate points from passing quizzes, and redeem those points in an incentives store. Teachers will also have their own dashboard to see how their students are doing, track class averages, and see points leaders. Our app is specifically geared towards the third grade because it is a benchmark grade. Studies show that how well students are reading by the end of third grade is a good indicator of future academic success. This project required a lot of teamwork. Everyone had their role, but we all had to help with each other’s tasks to make sure everything was done well.
