Prudential Insurance Co provides insurance, retirement benefits, and investment management services. They also the primary provider of life insurance for US military members.
I will be assisting with application migrations from privately operated data centers to Amazon Web Services and Azure, and optimizing new and existing Java, Python, and PHP applications to better utilize 3rd-party cloud services.
My major in MIS helped me gain some of the skills necessary for this role. The PHP classes were helpful as they were my first introduction to application development outside of content management systems. The enterprise IT architectures classes helped as well, because it helped me become knowledgeable with the Microsoft Azure platform, in addition to my recreational use of AWS.
