These courses that I have listed below are course that I have taken here at Temple that have enhanced my ability to analyze data. This is a valuable skill which I feel can apply to my career no matter which direction I decide to go.

Data Analytics, MIS 2502

I learned tools such as SQL to manage databases and how to extract data from tables using queries. We also learned how to analyze data using R-Studio.

Data-Centric Application Development, MIS 2402

We learned basic html and how to develop a web page and then delved deeper web development by learning Javascript, JSON , jQuery, and APIs.

Digital Solutions Studio, MIS 3506

I worked as a business analysts for a project that was handed to us by ARI. My teams goal was to develop the internal interface for ARI to re market vehicles outside of their normal process and provide communication tools between ARI and the clients. My team conducted interviews with ARI to elicit requirements for our final deliverable. I then worked with a partner in my group to mainly focus on the development of the prototype using Justinmind.

I learned a great amount on how companies make decisions. There are a multitude of factors towards a business decision such as what sector they compete in and what competencies the company has. I understand how to analyze available information to make the best business decision for a company.

I learned how to visualize data and present it to my peers in this class. I developed skills for Tableau which I had not used before this class. I learned how powerful Tableau is of a software for data analysis and visualization.

I learned how organizations use Information Systems to enhance their business. Technology is what is going to create more opportunities for businesses and the faster organizations harness this power the faster they will grow.

I learned in depth skills about SQL in this class. This class was solely focused on SQL and I learned at a high level how to write queries to exact the exact information I need. In the end my team developed a function database for an car dealership.
