In my sophomore year I started a small clothing resale business because I found that I enjoyed reselling clothing and other highly sought after goods. I operate on multiple websites such as eBay, Grailed, StockX, and Social Media in order to market and sell the products that I acquire. This business requires me to do everything at a high level from procurement, inventory management, customer service and other skills that ensures that customers are happy and receiving the product in a timely manner. I also conduct analysis on current market trends in order to project what items are going to rise in value and what items are on the decline through sentiment analysis on social media. Overall running this business has given me a small insight on what it takes to run a successful operation and what kind of processes can be improved in order to improve business.
Temple University – Lab Consultant
September 2018 – Current
I am currently a Lab Consultant at Temple University for the College of Science and Technology. I work at the computer labs in the Science Education and Research Center here at Temple. I provide technical support to students and professors daily at the labs during classes and open hours. I developed better communication skills to figure out issues that the students and professors are having so I can better resolve them. Common issues are related to Windows, networking, displays. I also provided assistance in general classwork to the best of my abilities to students in need. This enhanced my ability to help others with technical issues in a business environment.
