Key takeaways from Coursework:
I have learned a lot from the courses I have taken at the Fox School of Business. Over time some key themes I learned from these courses emerged. The most important of which is the ability to work well with and in conjunction with others, or in other words teamwork makes the dream work. Whether I had to study for an exam or work with a group for project, if I was working well with others I did well in the class and vice versa. An example of this occurred in my data centric application development course. I was not very good at coding, but me and a few friends formed a study group and helped each other with what we had trouble with. By helping each other we mastered the code we had to and as result I aced that class.
No matter where I end up after I graduate from Temple, whether it be in the tech industry or not, I can say that I am better team player and communicator than I was when I came here. These invaluable skills will serve me well and help me add value no matter what I am doing professionally.
