Welcome to the ITACS Program

My name is Rich Flanagan and I founded the ITACS program in 2010.  I

will be teaching this prerequisite course for you.  We at Temple are very excited to continue our partnership with the Beijing National Accounting Institute with you, our fourth cohort.  IT auditing as an academic subject is not well known and is taught at only a few global universities.  While the field is almost 70 years old, it did not come into prominence until the system-based fraud revelations of the early 2000’s and the regulations that followed.  As firms have become more system dependent, regulations more detailed and cyber threats more real, the field of IT audit has gained in its importance.  We are very excited to bring our curriculum to you, through BNAI, over the next year or two.

On the tabs at the top of this screen you will find all of the work that I expect of you over the eight days we are together.  Please watch all the videos and read all the articles before we begin.  You will work on team and individual exercises everyday in class so please be prepared.
