Lockheed Martin Summer Internship

For the summer of 2015, I have earned an internship with Lockheed Martin at their Moorestown, New Jersey facility. My position for the summer will be a Non-Technical Specialist within the Enterprise Business Services sector. I am very excited to work for one of America’s top companies and I also anticipate to learn many new things in the IT field. This internship will be a great opportunity to build my IT skills and develop as an Management Information Systems student.

Lockheed Martin is an advanced technology company, with five main areas: Aeronautics, Information Systems & Global Solutions, Missiles and Fire Control, Mission Systems and Training, and Space Systems.   Lockheed Martin is one of the largest defense contractors worldwide, and currently is the largest contractor in the United States. Currently they are constructing multiple large projects for the U.S. Military, like: the F-35 Lightning II, their Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, and their Skunk Works Air Systems project.

I will be working in the Enterprise Business Services (EBS) sector, which supports other Lockheed Martin business units in leveraging their technology. The EBS sector makes sure that the IT system is secure and reliable for other parts of the company. Members of the EBS sector are deployed where IT skills are needed, this cuts large amounts of costs for the corporation.
