Community Service

I currently volunteer for UDA Life Skills Helping Hands. It is run by the UDA Life Skills class and they volunteer at community organizations and help work at local businesses. They also have adopted 2 miles of a local highway near the school.

I have helped out with their Relay For Life group, they have the largest Chinese Auction in Central Pennsylvania! I seek out donations from businesses and local shops for the auction and set up the prizes during the event. This spring I have also helped clean the highway that we have adopted.

This is a great group with loving individuals, I have learned so much from the kids I have worked with. They have the biggest hearts and even bigger hugs!

I have also volunteered for Upper Dauphin’s Middle School Boy’s Basketball Team. Every year during winter break I help coach the 7th and 8th grade boys. I give them new and challenging drills to enhance their Guard skills, Head Coach J.D. Cooper also lets me participate in the drills to give the players more of a challenge. I love working with them and watching them grow as better basketball players as the season progresses. It is a great experience for myself since I would like to coach basketball and teach someday.
