Job function: Summer Intern
- Assisted with the detail work of audits, reviews, and other assurance services for clients with the healthcare industry
- Collected and analyzes data to detect deficient controls, duplicated efforts, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies
- Supported multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress and audit results to supervisors
Through this internship, I gained valuable insight working in the Professional Services Industry. I worked on various planning and final audit engagements in the Health Care industry. This internship allowed me to use the knowledge from my MIS courses, such as used data analytics, to perform analytical procedures to evaluate internal controls. This experience has given me the opportunity to expand my industry knowledge and technical experience while learning the audit process.
