Tax Intern
- During the summer of 2020, I worked as a tax intern with Deloitte in the Philadelphia Office. Due to the coronavirus, the internship was moved to a virtual format. Throughout the internship, I met daily with my cohort and engaged with managers and other interns within my group. I also worked on training sessions to develop my foundational, professional, and technical skills. I got to discover more about Deloitte’s culture and learn more in-depth about company values from professionals. I worked in a group and researched how technology will change the industry in the future. Throughout this experience, I learned how valuable MIS skills are in the evolving industry. Technology is constantly changing the role of tax professionals as repetitive tasks can be automated and more time can be spent on solving complex problems. Technology skills are becoming more critical within the industry.
