My Interests
Soccer
I was born and raised in Augsburg, Germany. As every child in Germany I grew up playing soccer. I played for our local soccer academy of the Bundesliga team FC Augsburg. This allowed me to compete on the highest youth level of soccer in Germany for over five years. I play the position of goalkeeper and am currently on the Temple University Mens Soccer Team, which competes in the NCAA Division 1 American Athletic Conference.
Information Technology
I am very interested in almost anything related to Information Technology. I am fascinated by Artificial Intelligence, like IBM’s Watson, as much as understanding the basic concept behind every personal computer, which is completely based on a binary system and transistors, which have two single states. There are endless possibilities in today’s digital world and I am trying to understand a little more of it to make the best out of them.
Web Design and Programming
Once I started to learn more about Computers and Information Technology, I first realized how many different computer languages there are. I am currently learning to code in a few of them. These include Java, which is very powerful and also interesting since it is the base for ANDROID applications. Further, I am working on my HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills to be able to built my own interactive websites. Together, the three languages allow you to be creative and show the world something you have created all by yourself. You can see a website I created during a Computer Science class I took during my freshman year at Temple University. I am currently working on improving it and creating my own little webspace to give people a better idea of who I am.
