Primo’s Pizzeria and Restaurant                                                                           (June 2018- August 2018)

At Primo’s Pizzeria and restaurant I worked as a waiter as well as performing bus duties. I would work every Saturday from 5-11 P.M. Working as a waiter helped me to further develop my communication, organization, and listening skills. As a waiter my duties were to take orders and communicate them to the chef and pizzeria as well as tell the chef and pizzeria when to start making the meal. Another one of my roles was to close the restaurant portion of the store when the time came. This would include stocking up on all necessary items, sweeping the dining room, and taking out the trash. Working as a waiter also entailed responsibility since I had to keep and store cash, and receipts in order to keep correct accounting records at the end of the night.

Pat & Ralph’s Landscaping                                                                                     (June 2018- August 2018)

At Pat & Ralph’s Landscaping I worked as a landscaper from the end of June until the first week of August. As a landscaper I would work in a team ranging from 3 to 8 men while tending to yards and gardens in areas of Brooklyn. My roles varied by workday and included mowing lawns, collecting and disposing of garbage such as weeds and plastic wrappers, and turning dirt. Landscaping helped me to develop a tolerance for long days of manual work since I would work from 7 A.M until 5 P.M with few breaks in between. Landscaping also re-enforced teamwork and timing since each house required a specific order of jobs to be done in order to be as time-efficient as possible. I also experienced what it was like to run a small business. For example returning calls from interested customers, keeping inventory, mailing letters to customers, and the customer service that comes with keeping longtime customers.

Vector Marketing (Cutco) Salesman                                                                    (December 2017- May 2018)

As a Cutco salesman I would call potential customers to set up appointments to show Cutco knives. I would create and organize my own schedule to accommodate to training times and personal down-times. I would go to each customers home and attempt to persuade them into buying Cutco with my knowledge of the product and a positive attitude. This job gave me valuable practice to get better at soft skills such as communicating, persuading, and building confidence in myself.

Wendy’s Employee                                                                                                 (July 2016- July 2017)

As an employee at Wendy’s I learned most of the positions and was a multi-tool employee. I learned how to cook and serve foods such as fries, burghers, nuggets and chicken in the quickest and most efficient way possible. I also worked with the cash registers where I would take orders for the customer and/or help them pay as quickly as possible. At times I was asked to work multiple positions. Working at Wendy’s instilled a large work ethic in me and helped me to gain experience in communicating as well as organizing products and working at quick speeds.
