Class Project

Class Project

This past semester my team and I were given the task of designing an application for CHOP (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia). The application was to be used by nutritionists and guardians of children who, for medical reasons, must be feed through a tube in their abdomen. As store made formulas are not as convenient or nutritious as making a blended recipe with real foods, our app will allow guardians to create a recipe given their ingredients and be sure it will fulfill the child’s requirements. Our application allowed for two views, a nutritionist’s and a guardian’s. The nutritionist could enter a new patient and the information, a new recipe, or a new ingredient. The guardians could then select a recipe or create their own and our app would tell them once they have successfully hit all of the child’s requirements. This application was driven by a mySQL database and written using HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, and javaScript for front-end.
