Enterprise IT Architecture:
I learned about the structure of and IT architecture and how to create with virtual machines in Microsoft Azure. I also learned how to quickly research a technology and report on its value. I have used these skills in my current job at Technical.ly Media researching potential technologies that could improve our current business operations. Data Centric Application Development & Application Integration and Evaluation:
In these courses I learned to code web applications using php, javascript, and jQuery, as well as, build a database. These applications were also data driven using SQL to make calls to a mySQL database. My team and I developed an app for CHOP to create recipes for people who must be fed through a G-tube in their abdomen due to medical issues. The app allows the user to create a recipe given the ingredients in their home and ensure it will provide the proper nutrients.
Digital Solutions Studio:
I learned how to be a business analyst and work on a project team. We learned the importance of requirements and documentation. This class truly helped me develop the skills to ask the right questions and think about the necessary requirements to properly complete a project. In this course my team and I developed a prototype website, using the program JustInMind, for a make-up company looking to help people of all skin tones find the proper make-up.
