Securitan Insurance Brokerage Company is a local insurance service company based in Philadelphia, PA. It also provides financial consultant services for small to medium size companies. Securitan has been on the market since 2013 and kept constantly growing. Its primary service is to immigrated clients with their health, auto, and home insurance.
I spent 3 months (from Nov. 2015 to Jan. 2016) in Securitan company as an administration intern. My primary duties included communicating with clients, setting up and organizing customer database. While there, I assisted families with their health insurance needs. For instance, a family requested a health insurance plan. I collect their personal information, such as visa type, medical history, household demographic, and annual income. Based on the information the family provided to me, I used Reddict software to match them with the best individual health insurance plan. Due to my analytical skill, the family saved $500 per month. Also, I organized clients’ information to create charts and made a weekly report to the supervisor. The supervisor relied on my visible reports to adjust business processes, such as business time and working schedules. This experience cultivated my communicated and analytical skills.
