Liang Yao

Liang Yao has taught ITACS courses since the beginning of the program in 2012 as an adjunct professor. Liang received the Faculty of Year Award for teaching at the ITACS program in 2017 and the Faculty of the Year (Part time) Award within the MIS Department in 2020. Liang is a National Bank Examiner working for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), US Department of the Treasury. Before joining the OCC, Liang spent close to nine years as a Supervising Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia’s Supervision, Regulation and Credit department. Prior to join the Fed, Liang was a senior manager at Morgan Stanley’s Internal Audit department and was specialized in the enterprise infrastructure audit. Liang also worked for Prudential Financial in Newark and Deloitte & Touch in Philadelphia as a senior IT auditor for a number of years. Liang also had worked for Temple University for five years as a technical support manager for the Student Health Services department at main campus and Medical School’s Finance Department. Liang obtained his MBA and MS in Management Information Science from Temple University. Liang received his Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Eastern China Institute of Politics and Law in Shanghai, China. He is also a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Microsoft System Engineer (MCSE) and Certified Novell Netware Administrator (CAN).
