Class Presentation Requirements

Class Presentation I Requirements: 

Scenario: You are IT auditors working for XYZ company. Your team is planing a technology audit. After the information gathering to understand the environment the technology is associated, your team is required to present to senior audit directors about the objectives, scope, risk assessment, testing approach, resource allocation, budgeting and timeline for the upcoming audit.

You need to prepare a deck using power point. At minimum, Your deck should include the following information:

  • Technology background overview
  • Scope of your audit
  • Risk assessment (highlights of the H, M, L risks identified along with rationales, any prior open findings, major changes since last audit, significant projects, initiatives, etc.)
  • IT Audit team members’ roles and responsibilities in this audit
  • Breakdown of audit hours for planning, testing, reporting phases
  • Key dates and deliverable
  • Any additional concerns, if applicable

You need to elect a member as “Audit in Charge” and serve as a spoke-person for your team. Others will participate while being challenged or questions by the Audit Directors.

You need to submit the decks to me via email EOD Saturday, 2/24.

Class Presentation II Requirements:

Scenarios: When your team completed the audit fieldwork, you need to present your prelimeary findings to IT management who are responsible to the area. For the purpose of this execises, your team need to present min. FOUR findings as the result of this audit. For each finding, you need to present the following:

  • Fact – What did you observe?
  • Standards – Which standard you used to assess the control design and operating effectiveness
  • Root Cause of the issue
  • Impact to the business
  • Recommendations

The deliverable can be in MS word or power point format. And due EDO Saturday 4/7.
