Interests
I have played sports for my whole life, including soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. Soccer was my true passion as I was growing up and has taught me valuable lessons about what it means to be on a team. Through participating in the sport and being team captain in high school, I have become more aware of the importance of dedication, perseverance, and collaboration. Soccer has always been something I’ve loved and continues to be a fun hobby for me. Since I no longer play competitively, I have also gotten more into other forms of exercise and fitness, like running and yoga.
I also love to travel. One of my favorite places to visit is Willsboro, NY. Willsboro is a very small town on Lake Champlain, but is so calm and beautiful (you can even see Vermont when looking across the lake!). Along with other towns throughout the US, I have also had the opportunity to travel to Italy and France. Whether I am traveling near or far, I love going somewhere new to experience and learn about other people, cultures, and environments.
This photo was taken in Florence, when my mom and I visited my brother who was studying at Temple Rome. After seeing Florence and all the other beautiful cities and towns throughout Italy, I know that traveling to visit other spectacular places around the world is something I want to do.
Another one of my hobbies is reading. I could probably spend hours just browsing in Barnes & Noble. Some of my favorites books include The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series by Stieg Larsson, and The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls.
