IT Generalist/Project Manager
- Options For All is a medium sized company employing around 300 people. Located in San Diego, they aim on improving/supporting the lives of individuals with physical or mental disabilities. I will be employed in the corporate office as a project manager with IT generalist duties as well.
- I will be responsible for overseeing all new projects from proposal all the way to completion. As a side role, I will also be handling some IT generalist duties such as troubleshooting or data analytics.
- All my MIS-specific classes prepared me for this role. Both soft and technical skills were developped in these classes that enabled me to fit and grow into the role perfectly. My BA classes also helped as I started and will continue to work for the corporate office. This environment can be tricky to maneuver as most of my work is done with high-level executives who already have years of experience.
- As a side note, I do not have documentation for a full-time offer as I interned with the company over quarantine and was verbally offered the position upon my return to San Diego on May 31st.
