PwC is the worlds second largest professional services firm and one of the the big four accounting and auditing firms. The firm has three lines of service: Tax, Auditing and Assurance, and Advisory. PwC is headquartered in London, U.K.

During the Spring of 2017, I was given an incredible opportunity to expand my knowledge in an internship with a Big 4 Accounting firm. This firm was PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. Being a double major in Accounting and MIS, this was the perfect storm of work experience. While helping an audit team complete their audit for a client of PwC, I was also learning so  much about software and visualization. For my internship, I was required to become proficient in not only Microsoft products (excel, word, powerpoint) but I also was required to learn other softwares such as used in Tableau and Bloomberg. All of the above mentioned systems were necessary for everyday use in the audit process. I also was given the chance to do a three day long shadow in the Risk Assurance side of PwC where I was able to help an advisory team with consolidating their files on their recent engagement and creating a visually pleasing hard-copy of the presentation they were working on for their senior.
