enGenius Consulting Group Inc. is an Information Technology and business contracting company that connects businesses with a wide range of services and solutions. The main headquarter is located in Huntsville, Alabama, but enGenius does business all around the world.
I work as a Computer Operator-I, otherwise known as Distant Training Facility Manager. My job functions range from replacing parts on the server/computers to simple maintenance on the machines. I am contracted with the US ARMY through enGenius, and I coordinate with the soldiers to help their trainings through providing them the necessary technology. Through this job, I learned different parts about a server and how to operate it. I also learned how computers can be connected to a private network through the server to share important files, instead of relying on the internet where it is vulnerable to the public. I am still learning many things as I am doing my daily tasks, but it is amazing what can be done with your own server.
