 Temple University Bhangra.

Darwin’s Theory of “Survival of the Fittest,” can basically sum up the history of Temple University Bhangra. Many people have tried to create a Bhangra team at the university, but have failed; until a group of talented and hard-working students banned together, creating the formula for success. Thus, coming this far has been an accomplishment in itself. TUB held its first auditions in the fall of 2007, where the team of 10 was selected. The team had many opportunities to perform at different shows; however, intended their first performance to be in front of fellow Temple students. As the dance was a huge success, the support of the team grew tremendously. We perform to please audiences with our culturally diverse dancers. With each and every performance, we practice immensely and give our all. Our purpose is to exhibit the Punjabi heritage through Bhangra. We believe that we have accomplished this successfully in the past and therefore, we will continue to do so in the future.I joined TUB my senior year of highschool and also have been Co-Captain of the team as well.
