Interactive Internship at QVC
Spring 2017 semester, my final semester at Temple, I had the opportunity to work with the Global Interactive Department at QVC. The responsibility of this role was to assist in executing and managing the intake and reporting process for designated markets into the overall global interactive roadmap assisting with interactive portfolio management and tracking. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop a SharePoint site for Global Interactive using SharePoint 2016. I had the opportunity to run the project from planning through execution. Other responsibilities include: creating market reports in Excel to communicate the status of requests in the Interactive Intake process to primary shareholders and market leads, performing site audits on QVC’s website for features that need to be changed and documenting the location of these features on the site, and organizing and documenting the intake details to create Interactive requests for work.
This internship was an excellent opportunity for me to get hands on experience with a global company. This role aligned with many of my core classes at Temple that dealt with project management since that was the bulk of my work for this internship. I really enjoyed working closely with the other intern in the department to determine how to meet the needs of the Interactive team with the SharePoint site we developed. This was a valuable experience in time management as I balanced working at QVC with the six classes I took in my final semester.
