BSA Software Event
Before being enrolled at Temple University, I was enrolled at La Salle University majoring in business systems analytics which is similar to MIS. I attended an event which primarily focused on the software program Tableau. Tableau is an extremely useful program that a company can use. Tableau is a program where you import data into the program and it can create a data visualization based off the data you have imported which makes it easier to interpret information by looking at the created data visualization. This is interesting because you are able to see which products in which regions of the United States sell the most. For instance, you import data about products sold in the United States into Tableau. Then it can produce a data visualization of which region sells the most of a certain product category. This is interesting to know because if a company decides to sell a product, they can look at the data visualization and have their product be sold in a region where their product category is sold the most.
