Merck Internship
Merck & Co. is an American pharmaceutical company and one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. Merck is a Fortune 100 company with over 60,000 employees worldwide and over $39 billion dollars in annual revenue.
At Merck I worked within the Global Data Management and Standards department specifically for the Global Data Operations team as a Data Management Operations Intern. My primary role for this internship is to handle data from clinical trials. Tasks involve managing and analyzing the data using statistical softwares and converting data into visualizations so it would be easier to interpret. In addition to I had to check the cleanliness of the data being entered into the databases meaning the data being entered is correct and within the set parameters.
Overall, this internship has been nothing but a positive experience for me. I have met and collaborated with many talented individuals and they were always willing to teach me and show me what skills are needed to succeed. I have grown personally and as a professional from this experience, I am truly grateful for this opportunity.
