Resident Assistant
As a resident assistant in Temple University’s 1300 Residence Hall, I was tasked with overseeing a hall of close to 70 students throughout the 2023-2024 academic year. I met and built relationships with each of them, learning about their challenges and experiences to ensure they have a positive time in the residence halls and on campus. I planned residence hall programming, responded to emergencies, and connected my residents with campus resources to help them reach their personal, academic, and professional goals. This position helped me better connect with the diverse body of students that live on campus and taught me how important it can be for someone who is struggling to have someone they trust to ask for help.
