Fox Peer Teacher
In this role, I worked closely with Professor Steven Sclarow in the administration and teaching of MIS 2101, the intro level MIS course at Fox. I attended every class meeting, held office hours each week, gave a lecture on the topic of cybersecurity, and held review sessions before each exam. I also assisted Professor Sclarow in updating the course with the latest information surrounding technology. During my time as a Fox Peer Teacher, I helped develop the Diamond Peer Corner, a site for students to strengthen their knowledge on course topics. Some of the features of this site were weekly review questions, coding help videos, and the recordings of the exam review sessions.
They say that the best way to learn is to teach, and after my time as a Fox Peer Teacher, I could not agree more. My knowledge around the areas of cybersecurity, javascript, SDLC\’s, and so many more topics has never been stronger. My understanding of pedagogical methods at Temple University was also increased. I know that all this knowledge combined will make me a better student, and a better employee.
