Bio

About me

I was born and raised in Pottsville, PA, where I graduated from Pottsville Area High School. During my early education years, I became an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, and was also a two-year member of the chamber of commerce in my county. I chose Temple University for my college education because of its outstanding business program, and because of its location inside of Philadelphia, a city that I love. My freshman year I was a declared Business Management Major, but after some amazing experiences with the MIS staff and coursework, I declared MIS as my major Sophomore year. To this day, my only regret is not declaring MIS as my major earlier. It is a perfect fit for me; I’ve always been passionate about business and IT, so learning about how both of them interact and support each other is amazing. Every day I go into my MIS classes excited to learn something new, and looking ahead, getting a career where I can work with both of my passions seems like a dream come true. 

Outside of my course work, I am also pursuing some key IT certifications to improve my technical abilities. I am currently working on the CompTIA A+ certification, and I plan on getting the AWS Cloud Engineer Certificate once I’ve completed the A+ cert. In my opinion, when it comes to IT, the more certs the better. Even if I do not end up working in the AWS environment, having knowledge about it enables me to work better with others, and be more effective in both business and IT. 

When it comes to my interests, I like anything to do with food. I can usually be found in the Reading Terminal Market in my free time or trying to find a great spot to eat somewhere in Philadelphia. I’m also an avid outdoorsman and try to get into nature whenever I can, if that be Fairmount park, or kayaking down the Schuylkill River.
