Technology & Product Internship at CardConnect
CardConnect is a medium-sized tech startup that specializes in cloud-based solutions for card-present and card-not-present payment acceptance. CardConnect is located in King of Prussia, PA but has offices in Hawaii, Colorado, and Kansas. I interned with the Product Team and directly reported to Nick Aceto, the VP of Technology.
Projects:
- Used Python to significantly automate the EMV mini-certification process of non-in house credit card terminals for merchants being on-boarded to CardConnect’s payment gateway. This involved gaining significant comprehension of BER-TLV data protocol.
- Utilized Py-Flask to prototype a web dashboard report tool on the above EMV certification process to make test output cleaner, generally more user-friendly, and potentially customer-facing.
- Utilized Adobe XD, HTML, and CSS to prototype a web dashboard report tool on an EMV certification process to make test output cleaner and more user friendly.
- Used SQL to help resolve an issue involving redundant terminal password creation during client onboarding. The script pulled user credentials from production, regenerated them for uniqueness, and committed the database changes.
- Worked on a team to create a full product report, feature audit, and implementation schema to bring hosted payment page functionality in-house to CardConnect.
