Data Intern
In this position, I assisted and supported the Associate Director of Data and Compliance with various ongoing projects related to implementation of database, technology inventory, and adaptive tests. I also researched and collated data and statistics on local, city, state and national measures of high school graduation, unemployment, college matriculation and retention, college graduation, job attainment etc. Most of my tasks included interpreting data and providing suggestions on programmatic changes based on my research and analysis. In one of my projects, I reviewed and maintained the results of a survey hosted on the database and updated the individual records with the information submitted. I was able to support various data imports and provide assistance with the data maintenance. Throughout the course of this internship, I was able to use and enhance SQL Query knowledge from my Data and Analytics class to work with the organization’s database, Veracross.
