Hello, my name is Andrew Doumith and welcome to my e-portfolio.

 

I am a recent graduate from Temple University’s Fox School of Business with a major in Management Information Systems and a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, where the Fox School of Business ranks in the top 15% among all U.S. universities in both fields. I enjoy professional networking, learning new things and continuously developing myself both academically and professionally. I have an innate passion for the dynamic tech industry and start-up ecosystem and I am a firm believer that I will create a dent in the world through my life’s innovative contributions.

During my time at the Fox School of Business I have been actively participative in three Student Professional Organizations (SPOs) – Association for Information Systems (AIS), Entrepreneurial Students Association (ESA), Professional Sales Organization. I also held the leadership role of Officer of Event Planning of ESA from September 2013-May 2014, where my main accomplishment was the organization of Tower Takeover. This event allowed local startups, majority being student companies, to showcase their products during Temple University’s annual Entrepreneurship Spirit Day. My active involvement on campus during my undergraduate years has allowed me to expand my professional network, broaden my skills, and develop myself both professionally and socially.

I am a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society, which recognizes students at the top 10% of their business bachelors program. As a Beta Gamma Sigma member, I had the invaluable opportunity to attend the first annual Global Leadership Summit in Orlando, FL. in November 2015. I had the opportunity to hear from a countless number of wise, influential speakers from around the U.S. and participated in a number of hands-on activities. This allowed me to discover my top 5 innate strengths and learned how to use these strengths to become a more effective, influential, well-rounded leader. Apart from this, I was able to network with 299 other students who are at the top 10% of their business programs from literally all over the world.

Off campus, I have applied my knowledge in multiple internships and other part-time positions that take advantage of technology. I held a part-time position as the Marketing Director at The Burger Shack in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. During the summers of 2013 & 2014, I have held roles as an IT intern and a Marketing and Sales Representative at Antigua Computer Technology, and Customer Service Representative at RadioShack in the summer of 2012. During the Spring semester of 2015, I interned as a Business Analyst at a tech startup called Igloohome incubated at DreamIt Ventures in Philadelphia. This internship has solidified my passion of the start-up ecosystem. Each of these experiences have provided me with unique insights across multiple industries and have tremendously developed my communication, time management, team dynamics and interpersonal skills.

Currently, I am serving as a Business Analyst at Antigua Computer Technology where I am leading a project to implement a HRIS/CRM system for the company, which is intended to bring structure & organization, accountability, task management, and increased communication to the company.

It is through my heritage, education and work experience that I have developed my innate passion for technology and entrepreneurship. These have developed my ability to stand up to solve problems as they arise, see challenges as opportunities, and practice perseverance everyday. I furthering my knowledge and network through Lehigh University’s Masters in Engineering in Technical Entrepreneurship program, which will broaden my skills and my entrepreneurial mindset.

Upon graduating, there is no telling where one’s future stands. However, mine will have one of four outcomes: expand my family business, become an intrepreneur within a corporation, launch my own start-up or join a start-up. Though, one thing is for certain – I will make an unforgettable impact.
