AWS Academy Graduate – AWS Academy Cloud Foundations
Through this certification, I was able to learn about the many components of AWS (Amazon Web Services) and how they function together to achieve efficient and cost-effective business solutions. AWS offers a vast array of services ranging from web-page distribution services to budgeting services that estimates cost for you. The service I used the most was AWS Lambda, which stores Node.js code. I paired this code with AWS API Gateway, which allows you to make calls to AWS Lambda through API calls. Other than offering services, AWS is scalable and it uses a pay-as-you-go payment structure. Rather than having physical data stores which can have unused capacity and cost millions, AWS allows you to use what you need. It also meets your demands during traffic-heavy periods through scalability and it moves back to your original set up when demand decreases back to normal.
