T-Mobile Express Internship
As an intern for T-Mobile Express stores I was in charge of troubleshooting employee workstations, applications, perform daily inventory counts, and analyze transaction reports.
These tasks relate to MIS because it involves business data analytics and IT auditing because I analyzed the previous dates inventory and transaction reports to find and fix any discrepancies. By making sure the inventory was being received and leaving the system was crucial to company because some devices reached up to $1,000. If one item was missing then Loss Prevention would have an ongoing investigation. This was to be avoided at all costs.
This internship taught me how to analyze data from different reports and matching them up. It also taught me different approaches to various situations if the systems were down from finding the reports, removing inventory out of the system, and even adjusting discrepancies with missing data.
