National Association for Campus Activities (NACA)
I attended NACA (National Association of Campus Activities) National Convention in Columbus, OH from February 16th-20th, 2019.
I got the opportunity to attend this as a result of being on the executive board for Temple\\\’s Main Campus Program Board. At the conference, we have full-day schedules that consist of artists showcases, professional development workshops, educational sessions, and much more. In addition to professional development as student leaders, we learn about resources, vendors/acts that we can bring back to campus.
This relates to my career goals because I really got useful tips on being an effective leader in any facet. Additionally, I got to practice my networking skills, where I actually met professionals who are in higher education now that graduated with MIS degrees or very similar programs.
