Topics that I learned were:
- Visual analytics matters because data visualization has exploded with increased pace of digital transformation. The goals were to understand the data we are working with, design the visualization to execute visual ideas and develop the ability to communication insights with visualization.
- We talked about trifecta principle
- The steps to start were to getting the data needed for analysis, selecting the right graphs to map the data, using pre-attentive attributes
- A good data set – one that contains the fields that you need for analysis, easily useable format, enough variable separation (disaggregated data) and is well documents to draw more information
