IBIT Mentoring Program Fall 2021
- I had the honor of meeting with my mentor, Mr. Dinesh Desai, during Fall 2021. He is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Emtec, Inc., Board Member of Wave6, former Director of The Enterprise Center, and Former Chairman, President, CEO of Global Holdings, Inc. It was a great experience and I encourage Fox students to participate in this program during their college career.
- I gained a great deal of knowledge about business, personal development, organizational management, and accountability from Mr. Desai. He shared many stories about his youth, the beginnings of his career, as well as the responsibilities he holds now at Emtec.
- Other than preparing myself to enter the work force as a business professional, I want to continue growing and improving myself as an individual who has side hustles/businesses and leads nonprofits. Some of the most important things I’ve learned during the program which align with my journey include: ensuring that the success of the business remains people-centered, fostering an environment of safety and understanding to cultivate an innovative space for people in the org, always being aware of one’s state of mind and how that affects one’s work, respecting people’s time, executing what needs to be done, learning from past mistakes, and, most importantly, never giving up.
