MLK Day of Service
I was a participant in the Temple Athletic Department\\\\\\\’s MLK Day of Service. As a part of the men\\\\\\\’s soccer team at Temple, I was tasked with assisting the Julia Ward Howe School with various tasks. These included moving tables and desks, disposing of old books and garbage, and repainting the staircases. The majority of the day was spent on the staircases and it opened my eyes to the impact fresh paint can have. It was a fulfilling experience knowing that young boys and girls would go to school the next day and have a brighter and more positive experience because of the new life our efforts helped create.
